Salmon is good for us for so many reasons but mainly because it’s a great source of omega 3 fatty acids (particularly EPA and DHA), which is essential fat in the body. This fat helps to reduce inflammation and your risk of chronic diseases.
Let’s not forget that salmon is also a good source of Vitamin D. We get most of our vitamin D from the sun, but by eating more fatty fish like salmon, we can increase our vitamin D levels naturally. Vitamin D has many functions in the body including the growth and maintenance of strong bones and teeth and supporting a healthy immune system.
